Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists (NCPS) is seeking a fellowship-trained, board-certified Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon with a dedicated interest in pediatric limb deformity and restoration. This is a stellar opportunity to join the nationally-ranked Orthopedic, Sports Medicine & Spine Institute in Miami, Florida. You will lead the expansion of a high-volume limb deformity program, performing complex reconstructions and longitudinal care within a brand-new, multi-million-dollar surgical facility.

The Opportunity: Description

As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will focus on the comprehensive surgical management of pediatric limb deformities and limb length discrepancies. You will serve as a regional referral resource for complex cases, including limb lengthening and complex reconstruction.

Highlights of the Role:

  • Volume & Reach: Join a team of 11 subspecialized surgeons managing ~35,000 outpatient visits and 1,500 surgical procedures annually.
  • Cutting-Edge Facilities: Operate in the newly opened Kenneth C. Griffin Surgical Tower (2024), a 131,000-square-foot facility with state-of-the-art ORs.
  • Centralized Care: Work out of the brand-new 19,000-square-foot Orthopedic Institute (2025), featuring an imaging suite with the latest EOS imaging technology.
  • Academic Integration: Benefit from a faculty appointment at the FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, with opportunities to mentor 84 residents and 49 subspecialty fellows.

 

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD/DO) with Board Certification in Orthopedic Surgery.
  • Fellowship training in Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery.
  • Demonstrated expertise/fellowship focus in pediatric limb deformity and restoration.
  • Strong clinical judgment and a desire to contribute to program growth and academic research.
