Baylor Scott & White Health (BSWH) is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible, fellowship-trained Orthopedic Total Joints Surgeon to join our elite multi-specialty group in Temple, TX. This is a premier academic, employed position offering the opportunity to practice at a Level I Trauma Center while contributing to the education of the next generation of surgeons through our partnership with Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine.

Step into a high-volume clinical environment backed by the largest not-for-profit healthcare system in Texas. As a Total Joints specialist within our 20-physician fellowship-trained orthopedic group, you will balance clinical excellence with academic rigor.

Position Highlights:

  • Clinical Excellence: Practice at a 640-bed multi-specialty teaching hospital and Level I Trauma Center (ranked No. 5 of the top 15 teaching hospitals in the U.S. by Thomson Reuters).
  • Academic Integration: Faculty appointment with Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine; oversee 4 residents per year and medical students.
  • Advanced Technology: Access to EOS imaging and robust administrative/clinical support, including dedicated Total Joints APP assistance.
  • Collaborative Environment: Work alongside a deep bench of sub-specialty colleagues in a culture that values research, innovation, and patient-centered care.

 

Requirements

  • Doctorate Degree in Medicine (MD or DO).
  • Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Orthopedic Surgery Residency and a Fellowship in Adult Reconstruction/Total Joints.
  • Licensed (or eligible) to practice medicine in the State of Texas.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible (active pursuit of certification required).
