Job Summary

Western Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, a highly successful subspecialty group integrated with Community Hospital, is seeking a Fellowship-Trained Total Joint Orthopedic Surgeon. Job Description & Scope

As a vital member of our comprehensive orthopedic team, you will expand a rapidly growing service line that captures market share across Western Colorado and Eastern Utah. You will collaborate daily with other dedicated fellowship-trained specialists spanning Sports Medicine, Foot & Ankle, Hand, and Orthopedic Spine surgery.

  • Clinical Volume: Rapidly build a dedicated total joint practice utilizing the hospital’s advanced joint replacement infrastructure (hip, knee, and shoulder).
  • Trauma & Call Support: Participate in a favorable 1:7 call rotation supporting a growing Level III Trauma Center that manages approximately 24,000 annual visits.
  • Advanced Technology: Leverage the established VELYS Robotic-Assisted knee replacement program to deliver precise, data-driven patient outcomes with no pre-operative CT scans required.

 

Position Requirements

  • Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of an accredited Adult Reconstruction / Total Joint Fellowship.
  • Board-Certified or Board-Eligible (BC/BE) in Orthopedic Surgery.
  • Strong trauma experience is highly preferred to support the Level III call infrastructure.
  • Eligible for or currently holding an unrestricted Colorado medical license.
