Description
As a Per Diem Orthopedic Hand Surgeon with The Permanente Medical Group, you will step into a mature, built-in referral network that prioritizes exceptional patient outcomes over administrative overhead. You will diagnose, treat, and perform surgical interventions for a diverse range of hand, wrist, and upper extremity conditions.
Working in our Fremont facility, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of orthopedic colleagues, advanced practice providers, and dedicated hand therapists. This position allows you to practice pure medicine, backed by Kaiser Permanente’s industry-leading electronic health record system and comprehensive operational support.
Requirements
- Education & Training: MD or DO from an accredited institution; successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Orthopedic Surgery Residency and a dedicated Hand Surgery Fellowship.
- Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible by an American Medical Specialty Board (ABOS or equivalent).
- Licensure: Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of California (or eligible to obtain).
- Core Competencies: Strong clinical and surgical judgment, excellent interpersonal communication, and a deep commitment to cultivating an inclusive, equitable environment for patients, physicians, and staff alike.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Pay Rate: $320.00 – $330.00 per hour
