Job Summary
Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible (BC/BE) Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join a highly collaborative, hospital-employed orthopedic group. This role offers the unique opportunity to practice pure high-energy trauma at one of Florida’s largest Level 1 trauma centers while benefiting from dedicated daily OR block time and robust mid-level support. The Opportunity & Clinical Description
As an Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon with the multi-specialty Memorial Physician Group, you will join two established orthopedic trauma colleagues to support a thriving regional program.
- Manage Complex Caseloads: You will be the attending physician for high-energy trauma, complex periarticular fractures, pelvic and acetabular reconstructions, geriatric/periprosthetic fractures, and the management of nonunions and osteomyelitis.
- Predictable, Protected Schedule: Enjoy a manageable call lifestyle with only 7 days of orthopedic trauma call per month.
- Daily Protected OR Time: Say goodbye to fighting for evening rooms. The health system provides dedicated, daily daytime block time strictly reserved for orthopedic trauma cases.
- Comprehensive Mid-Level Support: Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) handle ER consults, reductions, splinting, inpatient rounding, and post-operative clinic visits, allowing you to maximize your efficiency in the operating room.
Position Requirements
- MD or DO from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an OTA-accredited (Orthopaedic Trauma Association) fellowship.
- Board-Certified or Board-Eligible (BC/BE) in Orthopedic Surgery.
- High proficiency in pelvic/acetabular fractures and complex periarticular trauma reconstructions.
- Eligible for an unrestricted medical license in the State of Florida.
Compensation & Exceptional Benefits
Memorial Healthcare System offers a highly competitive compensation package commensurate with your training, experience, and the clinical demands of a Level 1 trauma environment.

- Financial & Practice Support: Relocation reimbursement, Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) eligibility, and an internal Physician Wellness Program.
- Comprehensive Health & Wealth: Full health, dental, and vision insurance; life and disability insurance; Dependent Care/Healthcare FSAs; and robust institutional retirement plans.
