Parkview Health, in an exclusive partnership with Orthopedics NorthEast (ONE), is seeking a Board-Eligible or Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon to join our established practice at Parkview DeKalb in Auburn, Indiana. This is a full-time, employed replacement role within a high-performance culture, offering immediate volume, comprehensive ancillary services, and a robust primary care referral base. Step into a turn-key practice backed by the region’s largest healthcare system while enjoying the focused feel of a dedicated community hospital.

Job Description

As an Orthopedic Surgeon at Parkview DeKalb, you will deliver premier inpatient and outpatient orthopedic care to a diverse patient population in Northeast Indiana. Through our collaborative model with Orthopedics NorthEast (ONE)—one of the region’s most respected orthopedic groups—you will be based at our Auburn location but fully supported by the sweeping resources, advanced surgical technologies, and coordinated care pathways of the broader Parkview Health network.

This role seamlessly bridges the gap between a collaborative private practice culture and the financial stability of a major health system. You will inherit an active patient panel, manage a steady outpatient clinic, utilize fully equipped operating suites, and collaborate daily with a dedicated, top-tier clinical team designed to optimize your efficiency and patient outcomes.

Position Specifics:

  • Practice Model: Member of the elite physician team at Orthopedics NorthEast (ONE), employed by Parkview Health.
  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
  • Patient Volume: 36 patient contact hours per week, with an expected volume of approximately 30 patients per clinic day.
  • Advanced Practice Support: Directly oversee one (1) mid-level Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to assist with continuity of care, clinic flow, and rounding.
  • Turn-key Infrastructure: All ancillary services (imaging, physical therapy, lab) are centralized on-site for both the clinic and the hospital.
  • Leadership Development: Clear autonomy with opportunities to step into clinical leadership and systemic growth roles.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Orthopedic Surgery Residency program. (Spine or general orthopedic fellowships are highly valued).
  • Board-Eligible or Board-Certified (BE/BC) by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS) or the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery (AOBOS).
  • Eligible for an unrestricted medical license to practice in the State of Indiana.
  • Excellent clinical judgment, strong surgical technique, and a commitment to a collaborative, multi-disciplinary, high-performance team culture.

Compensation & Benefits

Parkview Health offers a highly attractive, comprehensive financial package designed to support your career longevity and personal well-being:

  • Highly competitive guaranteed base salary tailored to experience.
  • Annual productivity and quality-based incentive compensation opportunities.
  • Generous commencement/sign-on bonus and paid relocation assistance.
  • Robust student loan assistance program.
  • Generous retirement contribution plan and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA).
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
  • Short-term and long-term disability insurance.
  • CME allowance, paid professional liabilities insurance, and various non-traditional wellness benefits.

Top Reasons to Join

  • Immediate High-Volume Practice: Inherit a busy, established practice from a departing physician with zero ramp-up time.
  • The Best of Both Worlds: Enjoy the close-knit feel, dedicated patient base, and efficiency of a community hospital setting, backed by the specialized infrastructure of a Top 15 National Health System.
  • Unmatched Work-Life Balance: Live in Auburn, IN—the “Home of the Classics.” This family-friendly community offers an excellent sparse suburban lifestyle, top-tier public and private schools, lower-than-average cost of living, and pristine biking trails.
