SportsMED Complete Orthopedic Care is seeking a Board-Eligible/Board-Certified, Fellowship-trained Orthopedic Spine Surgeon to join our premier, physician-led practice in Huntsville, AL. This is a high-volume opportunity to join a team of 25 physicians and 24 APPs, offering clinical autonomy, a manageable call schedule, and a clear, no-buy-in path to partnership in one of the fastest-growing tech and medical hubs in the Southeast.
Step into a thriving practice with a built-in referral base and state-of-the-art infrastructure. As a Spine Surgeon at SportsMED, you will benefit from a balanced 2.5 clinic / 2.5 OR day weekly split, focusing primarily on degenerative spine cases (approx. 60% lumbar / 40% cervical).
We prioritize efficiency and physician well-being. Our practice utilizes the ModMed EMR system and offers comprehensive on-site services, including MRI, PT/OT, DME, and Urgent Care. Looking ahead, you will have the opportunity to operate in our new, state-of-the-art Ambulatory Surgery Center opening in early 2027, specifically designed and staffed with experienced spine personnel.
Requirements
- MD or DO from an accredited institution.
- Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
- Completed (or currently enrolled in) a Fellowship in Orthopedic Spine Surgery.
- Eligible for or holding an active Alabama medical license.

- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, patient-centered approach.
