Job Summary
The Permanente Medical Group, Inc. (TPMG) is seeking a fellowship-trained, board-certified or board-eligible Orthopedic Hand Surgeon to join our highly collaborative, well-established team in the Greater Southern Alameda Area. This per diem role is ideal for a surgeon looking for schedule flexibility, an emphasis on high-quality patient care, and a strong focus on upper extremity trauma without the burdens of administrative overhead or billing.
Job Description
As an Orthopedic Hand Surgeon with TPMG, you will step into a thriving, integrated healthcare model that prioritizes clinical autonomy and physician well-being. Based primarily out of our modern Fremont and San Leandro locations, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing comprehensive surgical and non-surgical care for hand and upper extremity conditions.
- Managing upper extremity trauma cases within a busy, well-supported clinical environment.
- Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team of orthopedic peers, dedicated nurses, and specialized hand therapists.
- Utilizing advanced clinical infrastructure to streamline patient care across our interconnected Southern Alameda facilities.
Requirements
- MD or DO from an accredited institution.
- Completed an accredited Fellowship in Hand/Upper Extremity Surgery.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
- Must hold an active, unrestricted California Medical License (or be fully eligible to obtain one prior to starting).
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Rate: $320.00 to $330.00 per hour.
