Pediatric Orthopedic Research Fellowship

  • Supervises and teaches residents and medical students in classroom and clinical settings
  • Delivers pediatric physical medicine and rehabilitation services across inpatient and outpatient settings at a facility affiliated with a Level 1 Trauma Center
  • Performs outpatient procedures including injections, ultrasound, and EMG
  • Develops rehabilitation protocols at the El Paso Children’s Hospital for patients requiring rehabilitation services
  • Engages in advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship.
  • Serves the academic community through participation in institutional governance, such as committee work and other administrative duties
  • Contributes to the community through academically-related public service complementary to the institutional mission
  • Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
  • Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures
  • Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine’s Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility
  • Upholds and promotes the value-based culture of TTUHSC El Paso

  • Board certification in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine by the American Board Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish
  • Emerging or established regional or national reputation for the rank of Associate Professor or higher
